Encore Summer Music Enrichment Program
A Creative & Collaborative Music Experience

Program Overview:
Encore’s Summer Music Enrichment Program is a two-week, in-person
educational program designed to support the creative, cognitive, and artistic
development of students in ages 8-16. The program serves gifted, advanced,
and highly motivated learners with a strong interest in music.

This program supports gifted learners through creativity, collaboration, and
project-based learning, emphasizing exploration, original expression, and
higher-order thinking rather than rote instruction alone.

Students are divided into two small instructional groups and rotate through
structured enrichment blocks led by different instructors. This rotation model
allows students to experience a variety of musical focuses while maintaining
small group sizes, personalized guidance, and high levels of engagement.

• Musical creativity and original expression
• Rhythm, melody, and foundational music theory
• Instrument exploration (guitar, piano, drums, voice, ukulele, percussion, and more)
• Collaboration, teamwork, and communication
• Critical listening and musical decision-making
• Confidence through performance and presentation

Program Structure
Students participate in:
• Small-group collaborative music activities
• Rotating creative and exploratory sessions
• Guided instruction with opportunities for independent work
• Daily hands-on music-making experiences

Instruction is developmentally appropriate and adaptable to varying skill levels

Final Outcome:
By the end of the program, students will:
• Perform as part of a small group or
• Present an original musical project (song, arrangement, or performance piece)
• Participate in a final showcase or recorded presentation

Program Schedule and Structure
Ages: 8-16
Program Length: 2 Weeks - June 15th-June 26th
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Daily Instruction: 4 hours
Total Instruction Time: 40 hours

Program Cost
Tuition: $700
Tuition supports instructional time, program materials, instrument use,
curriculum development, and the final performance or recorded showcase.
(Eligible for summer enrichment and GT scholarship funding)
